Many dog owners spend a great deal of time teaching their dogs how to do various tricks. With the aid of dog biscuits and vocal affirmations, people often get their dogs to master basic commands such as sit, stay, or speak. But for people that are interested in more advanced training techniques and commands, there is the sport of dog agility. This is a practice wherein a dog runs through an obstacle course, and the dog is tracked for both accuracy and speed.
The dog is generally led through by the owner, but the dog is not on a leash, and there is no use of incentives in order to get the dog to complete the course. The owner is also not allowed to touch either the dog or the obstacles. Because of this limited input by the owner, the dog must be very well trained. In order to achieve the greatest accuracy by the dog, it’s necessary for the owner to purchase various dog agility supplies. By putting in the time and effort with the right equipment, it is possible for your dog to become a champion in this challenging and intricate sport.
